Christmas Pinafore Giveaway!

What better way to celebrate the season of giving than with a Pinny Giveaway?!

Although this cute little pinafore isn't geeky themed, it is definitely something fun to wear for the holidays! Maybe out on a visit to Santa? To a casual Christmas party? Perhaps even Christmas pictures? For whatever occasion you decide to dress up your little cutie, this pinny will certainly be a good fit for the holidays!

And although I haven't taken pictures of babies wearing these in a loooooong time, remember that all of my pinafores are for ages 9 months to 3T! Pinafores are worn like a jumper dress on babies, and as your little one grows, it fits like a tunic top later, so she'll be able to wear this again next Christmas! Seriously, at this age, how many times have you been able to say, "Oh she can wear this next year too!" I certainly haven't, but wouldn't you love to have something that could last that long? I would! :)

So, want to know how to win it?
First, comment on this blog post what pinafores you would like to see next! For more entries, complete the tasks in the rafflecopter link below. The contest ends on Saturday, December 13th. I'll announce the winner via Facebook that day, so make sure to like the Facebook page too!*

Terrific Twilight Sparkle and Partying Pinkie Pie!

Surprise! So, I know that it's not December yet, but I just had to introduce these new pinafores in time to offer them in the store for Black Friday! :)

I'm so excited to finally be introducing these to you all! I LOVE My Little Pony and have been a fan since it first started. While I still do have a very tender spot for the original series, I have to say, Friendship is Magic is fantastic! I just love that show! So funny, cute, colorful, and all around fun with some great story lines and good lessons to learn.

I have been wanting to start the My Little Pony line ever since I had the idea for Little Miss Pinny! So, without further ado, let's get to it!

Introducing the Terrific Twilight Sparkle Pinafore!

My amazing cousin, Susan, from Chevron and Lace, took these pictures for me. Love how they turned out! (K looks so cute in these pictures too. She's so sweet to be mommy's model <3)

And also introducing, the Partying Pinkie Pie Pinafore! (Wow, talk about intense alliteration!)

K's favorite pony is Pinkie Pie, so she was really excited to wear this one! I must say, that cutie mark is pretty fun!

So, a little info on both of these, they are made out of 100% cotton fabric and feature a pocket (one that's usable- not just for show!) on the front. The cutie marks are both appliqued on, and the strings on the balloon's on the Pinkie Pie one are embroidered.

These were so fun to make, and if I can brag just a little, I think they look amazing! They turned out exactly how I wanted them to! I hope you all like them just as much as I do!

Two of each are made and ready-made in the shop if you're interested in purchasing. Please feel free to share this post and/or the Etsy shop with other pony fans and friends!

Also, I will be announcing the coupon code to use for Black Friday on Thursday morning, so make sure you "like" the Facebook page to see the post! Thanks and see you next time!

Elegant Elsa Pinafore

Another month is here, which meas that it's time again for the Pinny of the Month!

Introducing the Elegant Elsa pinafore!

My favorite part about it is that the detail is all in the back, just like Elsa's beautiful cape. I thought that was a fun little idea. :)

So, I've got to be honest, I've been really, really excited to do this one since I found that beautiful snowflake fabric, but I had a lot of trouble with this one! And I don't mean it was hard, I just mean a lot of little set-backs and issues. All sorts of little things kept going wrong, but I'm so glad that I pushed through it anyway! It turned out very lovely, if I do say so myself. :)

Sorry that I didn't get around to taking pictures of another little cutie (a baby) in this pinafore. I had enough trouble with getting K to hold still and let me take her picture, haha! Oh that little wiggle worm. She is so darling!

So, what do you think??? I'd love to read your comments! :)
If you do like what you see, head on over to the shop and check it out! Be sure to check in again next month for December's Pinny of the Month!

Super {Adorable} Mario Bros. Pinafores!

HUZZAH!!! My first pinafores are finally DONE! :D

So, usually, the Pinny of the Month will feature only one pinafore at a time, but for my first post, I wanted to do two. Especially since Mario and Luigi are quite the inseparable duo!

Introducing the Marvelous Mario and Little Luigi Pinafores!

Making these was a lot of fun! They are pretty simple, but when you add in the accessories, it really makes the outfit come to life! :)

I also made the hats, which was a lot of fun too! If you're wondering how I did it, I followed the instructions in this tutorial from the blog, Fleeting Thing, here: http://fleetingthing.com/?projects=super-mario-hat-pattern-and-tutorial The tutorial doesn't include a pattern for the L on Luigi's hat, but that's so easy to figure out that I'm sure you can do it too. ;)

I just love how the back criss-crosses! Isn't it awesome when the back can be as much fun as the front? :)

But my favorite feature this: My models are both in very different sizes. One is in 12 month, the other in 3T, yet they both are dressed in the exact same pinafore. So, if you were to buy a pinny for your 9 month old, she could still wear it a few years later when she's wearing a 3T! The only difference is that when she's a baby, it will fit like a jumper dress, and when she is older, it will fit like a tunic top.

Seriously, that is just the best. Personally, I get soooo disappointed when my kids get to wear something absolutely adorable for all of two months, and then they grow out of it. You can tell which outfits I like on them best by how tight it is, since I try to make it last as long as possible. But with these, you wouldn't have to worry about that! Talk about a nice break for both of you! :)

So my store is officially OPEN! YAAAY!! As Pinkie Pie would say, "I'm so nervicited!" Hahaha! Seriously, it is really exciting to open up my own shop, but a little intimidating too. Buuuuut, I'm excited to share what I can do with everyone. :)

So, if you like what you see, head on over to the store and check it out! And don't forget to check back next month for a new design!
